The Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan was launched in 1970 in response to demand from the members of Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade across Canada. Today, the plan insures over 26,000 businesses and 100,000 owners & employees nationwide.
The Plan is run by the Chamber Insurance Corporation of Canada, a not-for-profit entity which is operated by a volunteer board of directors. Benefits under the plan are insured by Desjardins, ACE INA Insurance and Western Life. Best Doctors services are available through the plan as well as an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), offered by Solareh Canada.
Administration for the Plan is handled by the Johnston Group, a third party administration company headquartered in Winnipeg, MB. The Johnston Group has been selected as one of Canada’s Top 50 Best Managed Companies in each of the last 10 years.
